I had this tasty bread at Black Angus. My husband and I go there quite often just for this bread. We normally consume three pieces of bread at the dinner (LOL). I know they use white flour for this bread and this bread is also a little too sweet. Therefore I want to make some health versions for this bread. Now here it is.

In the recipe I used the whole grain wheat, less molasses, and no sugar.

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups warm water
  2. 4 cup whole grain wheat flour
  3. 1/4 cup molasses ( liquid)
  4. 3 teaspoon dry yeast
  5. 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  6. 2 tablespoon butter

Directions:

  1.  Mix warm water, yeast and molasses first, until there is bubble on the surface.
  2.  Mix the flour and salt together.
  3. Add yeast mixture into flour. Mix well and knead into a ball.
  4. Wipe a large sauce wall with butter. Put the dough ball into sauce pan and let is rest till the dough doubles the size.
  5. Divide the dough into six portions. Knead the dough into ball. Let it rest and rise again to double size.
  6. Bake at 350F for 40mins.
