Molasses Whole Wheat Bread
I had this tasty bread at Black Angus. My husband and I go there quite often just for this bread. We normally consume three pieces of bread at the dinner (LOL). I know they use white flour for this bread and this bread is also a little too sweet. Therefore I want to make some health versions for this bread. Now here it is.
In the recipe I used the whole grain wheat, less molasses, and no sugar.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups warm water
- 4 cup whole grain wheat flour
- 1/4 cup molasses ( liquid)
- 3 teaspoon dry yeast
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoon butter
Directions:
- Mix warm water, yeast and molasses first, until there is bubble on the surface.
- Mix the flour and salt together.
- Add yeast mixture into flour. Mix well and knead into a ball.
- Wipe a large sauce wall with butter. Put the dough ball into sauce pan and let is rest till the dough doubles the size.
- Divide the dough into six portions. Knead the dough into ball. Let it rest and rise again to double size.
- Bake at 350F for 40mins.
