This spread can be served on crackers, apple and pear wedges. Rub the fruit with lemon juice to prevent the discoloration.

Ingredients:

  1. 4 OZ cream cheese, room temperature
  2. 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
  3. Coarse salt
  4. 4 OZ cold crumbled blue cheese
  5. Crackers or crostini, pear, apple for serving

Preparations:

  1. In a medium large bowl, stir cream cheese with a wooden spoon until softened.
  2. Mix walnuts, season with salt and pepper. Gently fold in blue cheese, breaking up as little as possible.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a small bowl, smooth top.
  4. Serve with crakers or crostini.
  5. To store. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate, up to 1 week.
