Ali has mentioned Turkish monti several time and wanted me to make it at home. Today I made this beef dumpling. This dumpling stuffing has beef mixed vegetables ( carrot, green onion, parsley, cilantro, bread crumb, and mint). The dumpling wrap is a mixture of whole wheat flour and white flour.

Ingredients:

Dumpling Dough

  • 1 cup white flour
  • 2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 egg
  • 1 tsp sea salt

Dumpling Stuffing

  • 1 lb organic beef
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cup finely chopped carrot
  • 1 cup finely chopped green onion
  • 1 cup finely chopped cilantro
  • 2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp hot pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp seal salt
  • 1 tsp sumac
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder

Yogurt sauce;

  • 4 cloves garlic ( mashed and finely chopped)
  • 6 leaves fresh finely chopped mint
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
Hot Pepper Oil:
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp hot chilli pepper seeds and flakes

Preparation;

Dough preparation: Mix all the ingredients together and kneading the dough for 5 minutes at least. Let it sit for 30minutes.

Chop all the vegetable accordingly and mix them together.

Then make the dumplings.

Stir yogurt, garlic and mint together.

Heat olive oil to medium-high heat, remove from the stove, add hot chili pepper flake and swirl the pot for 10 seconds, remove the chili pepper oil from the pot to a small ceramic cup.
