This dish is very popular in Turkish. I had this dish at every single house I visited in Istanbul when I visited my husband’s relatives and friends. However, the taste varies a little, with the amount of tomato, onion, and sugar used. If you like tomato more, you can also add tomato paste. You can also use different cut green beans.

Ingredients:

  1. 2 package French cur green beans ( frozen)
  2. 1 medium white onion ( finely chopped)
  3. 1 medium tomato ( thin longitude sliced)
  4. 1 pinch salt
  5. 1 tea spoon sugar
  6. 2 table spoon olive oil
  7. 1 cup water

 Preparation:

  1. Turn on the stove and set medium temperature.
  2. Add olive oil and stir in finely chopped onion until onion is translucent.
  3. Add green beans and tomato, stir until the green bean completely thawed.
  4. Add tomato slices, salt and sugar, mix well.
  5. Set the high pressure cooking for 8 mins.
  6. Turn off the stove and cool to reduce the pressure on the stove.

Serve either warm or cold.

Note: We often cook this dish for summer pot luck. It is very welcomed.
