French Cut Green Bean with Onion and Tomato
This dish is very popular in Turkish. I had this dish at every single house I visited in Istanbul when I visited my husband’s relatives and friends. However, the taste varies a little, with the amount of tomato, onion, and sugar used. If you like tomato more, you can also add tomato paste. You can also use different cut green beans.
Ingredients:
- 2 package French cur green beans ( frozen)
- 1 medium white onion ( finely chopped)
- 1 medium tomato ( thin longitude sliced)
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tea spoon sugar
- 2 table spoon olive oil
- 1 cup water
Preparation:
- Turn on the stove and set medium temperature.
- Add olive oil and stir in finely chopped onion until onion is translucent.
- Add green beans and tomato, stir until the green bean completely thawed.
- Add tomato slices, salt and sugar, mix well.
- Set the high pressure cooking for 8 mins.
- Turn off the stove and cool to reduce the pressure on the stove.
Serve either warm or cold.
Note: We often cook this dish for summer pot luck. It is very welcomed.
