Ingredients:

  1. 100gunsalted butter
  2. 2 cups flour
  3. 3 tablespoon pine nuts or shredded almonds.
  4. Fruits, cinnamon, walnuts for decorations.

 

Syrups:

  1. 2 cup water
  2. 1 1/2 cup sugar

Directions:

  1. In a medium pot, mix syrups ingredients and boil them letting the sugar melt.
  2. Meanwhile, in a sauce pan, melt butter and add nuts. Stirring constantly, roast them fully. Be very careful not to burn them. Add flour and keep stirring. The flour should get a light brown color.
  3. Add syrup very carefully, mix it with  flour as fast as you can creating a pudding like mixture. Close the lid and let it simmer over low-medium heat for a couple of minutes.
  4. Put aside and let it cool.
  5. While the halvah is warm you may give it a shape you like or just spread it on a cooking pan. Decorate with nuts and fruits of your choice.
