Flour Halvah
Ingredients:
- 100gunsalted butter
- 2 cups flour
- 3 tablespoon pine nuts or shredded almonds.
- Fruits, cinnamon, walnuts for decorations.
Syrups:
- 2 cup water
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
Directions:
- In a medium pot, mix syrups ingredients and boil them letting the sugar melt.
- Meanwhile, in a sauce pan, melt butter and add nuts. Stirring constantly, roast them fully. Be very careful not to burn them. Add flour and keep stirring. The flour should get a light brown color.
- Add syrup very carefully, mix it with flour as fast as you can creating a pudding like mixture. Close the lid and let it simmer over low-medium heat for a couple of minutes.
- Put aside and let it cool.
- While the halvah is warm you may give it a shape you like or just spread it on a cooking pan. Decorate with nuts and fruits of your choice.
