Summer is here. It is time to get into shape again. Recently I feel gaining a little wait and have a little bit problem with my bowl movement. I do follow high fiber diet, with lots of vegetables and fruits ( 5-8 servings per day). I also eat yogurt daily too. But all these don’t help at all.

I called my mom in China and ask for advice since I remember that my mom has some secret recipe for this kinda problem. Now I want to share the recipe here. It is very delicious and healthy. Plus it can help you lose weight, improve your skin too.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Coix seed
  • 2 tbsp small green mung bean
  • 1/4 cup lotus seeds
  • 8 pieces of walnut halves
  • 1 L water

Preparation

Rinse all the ingredients well and add them all at once into a pressure cook. Set stove at high and until the steam comes out of the valve, reduce the heat to low and maintain the pressure for 30minutes or until you can smell the beans and barley. Turn off the stove and let the pot cool down gradually.

Serve warm. You can also add honey if you want.
